The RSPSoc Student Representative's responsibility is to organise and coordinate student activities within the Society, and represent the interests of the student body at regular Council meetings.

New RSPSoc Shadow Student Representative needed!

This year I will be giving my post as the RSPSoc Student Representative over to our current shadow student rep Andy Hardy from Newcaslte University. This means we are in the need of a new shadow student rep, who will take over the role as full student rep in the subsequent year.

As the RSPSoc Student Representative, you are expected to:

• Represent RSPSoc student members;
• Attend RSPSoc Council meetings;
• Provide written input for Council meeting discussions;
• Consult with RSPSoc student members whether there are any issues that you should raise at the Council meetings;
• Feed back information to RSPSoc student members;
• Organise the RSPSoc Annual Student Meeting, where student members can meet and discuss their research interests;
• Provide input for the RSPSoc Newsletter (4 issues a year), as well as the Society's annual report.

If you are a RSPSoc student member and you would like to volunteer as student rep, or have any questions, then please contact me. You can also download the nomination form where you can nominate yourself, or someone you know, for the role as RSPSoc shadow student representative.
